Pole Dance Academy

Through intensive market research Pole Dance Academy’s new visual identity system was formulated so to maximise the company’s unique qualities of: Strength, Fluidity, Prestige, Empowerment and Playfulness, and resonate with the target demographic.

Similarly to the art of pole, the key idea embedded throughout the deliverables of a new logo, business cards, Instagram content, Website design and Merchandise: is contrast. Through a material design process the visual system generates a feeling of balanced movement as it explores the binary of strength and fluidity.

The logo references the core icon of the brass pole itself, contrasting forms and textures surround the unique elongated form. The visuals are empowered forms that project a playful prestige in-keeping with the true essence of Pole Dance Academy.

Logo Breakdown

The form of the design is inextricably connected to the art of Pole Dance itself. The art form has been abstractly translated into visual language that resonates with the target demographic.

Business Cards

The form and texture of the logo is translated into a number of print mediums including dynamic business cards. That hero the core form of the pole as a structural cut out.

Social Media

The simplicity of the new system refreshes the Instagram platform, as the form allows for interesting content templates and places visual focus onto dynamic video and photo content.

Website

Unique Composition
The website is a non-linear 'single page' website, whereby each page is 'located' within different parts of the logo

Fluid Navigation
The pages are selected via menu prompts but transition through a fluid movement to another portion of the 'logo map'. Design details and lines of background are informed by the pages placement on the 'logo map'.

Perspective
The entire 'logo map' will never be fully seen by the viewer, however it is implied they are being navigated around its form.
